A VebaBox is a by Veba Uden fabricated cooling-box which possesses the complete cargo space of a commercial vehicle. The cooling-box is equipped with a low-tension cooling device (12/24DVC). This is the base and the uniqueness of the VebaBox. Veba developed special engines in the mid nineties for the box. The VebaBox is a ready to use big cooling box which functions on the power supply of the vehicle. Instead of the well known cooling-van there will be no adjustments made on the vehicle with the advantage of having a vehicle which has a higher trade-in value and the investment of the cooling device remains in putting it into the next vehicle. The VebaBox can be connected on 230VAC power (for example like cooling during nighttime) The powerful cooling-engines (multiple aggregates) will provide an uncomplicated cooling power, even at higher ambient-temperatures (+40°C tot +50°C, depending on model) The special for Veba developed cooling-engines are “high output-aggregates”which provide a minimum of heat-production outside the cooling device (max. raise of temperature in the cargo space 4 tot 5°C).

A VebaBox is therefore an isolated container provided with12/24VDC cooling-engines and control Electronics. The containers are always provided with several aggregates which implies that the reliability compared to a cooling van is very high. A VebaBox is designed in order to maintain the temperature even with half the power (but gets slower in getting to the right temperature) The cooling aggregates are made for the control units. The control-electronics guard the temperature in the container at 1°C accurate and guide the cooling-engines when needed. The control-electronics are provided with a temperature-display with touch-keys to guard the temperature carefully and to set. The electronics are furthermore provided with alarms (audio and visual) when a critical under or over temperature is exceeded. For the 230V version the container is provided with a Euro connector (3pin connection, as on the rear of a PC for example) The current will be converted in the VebaBox to 12/24VDC.
